Socially engaged freelance writer, photographer and film Maker documenting outsider art movements and underground musical culture. Carer for four foster children and my wife. Campaigner for free speech, freedom from state censorship and the welfare and rights of disabled people.

Long before writing about, and photographing bands,I have been in love with words,music and sound. With a passion for synthesisers, computers and creating my own worlds with words before forming and performing with bands. I then moved onto composing,recording, engineering and then producing several albums before setting up an independent electronic music record label.

I have always written poetry and performed. Now I have combined them both, sometimes with my own field sounds and music, my own films and photographs and even excerpts from past interviews and reviews.

Nobodies life is just one thing and I do not believe performances should be any different. There is poetry everywhere if you can make the time to listen and pause long enough to recognise it.In the rhythms of conversation, the structures of nature and the repeating patterns within cities.
