LIVE
Spoils Collective, El Generico, The Poet Beanz and Last Kind Hour
An evening of music and poetry at Café Momus bringing together four of Plymouth's most exciting live acts:
Last Kind Hour are a haunting and nuanced three piece band, blending noir folk with art rock. Expertly crafted songs performed by a band at the top of their field. F.F.O: King Hannah, Ana Calvi, Songs Ohia, Mark Lanegan Band
The Poet Beanz is a Plymouth based Street poet. Funny and heart felt spoken word delivered masterfully. This ain't your English teachers poetry (unless your English teacher was unspeakably cool) F.F.O: John Cooper Clark
El Generico are a Post-Punk, Lounge Lizardesque, Pseudo-Goth band. Sad, Horny and Feral songs of joy performed with visceral menace and unspoken intent. F.F.O: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Low, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse
The Spoils Collective are one of the most unique and interesting bands in the Plymouth scene. Mixing the surreal and absurd with a strong social consciousness, their prop laden farcical stage show has as much in common with cabaret as it does live music. F.F.O: Butthole Surfers, Half-Man Half-Biscuit, Art Brut, the Beano when it was 30p and came with free sweets, Monty Python
